Adam Van Wielingen (musician)

Adam is a singer-songwriter from Calgary. His sound has been shaped over the years by alternative, indie and folk rock influences; and more recently he has opened to the spacious vibrations of eastern spiritual music. Playing guitar as well as traditional Indian instruments, he sings and chants melodic mantras in english as well as sanskrit, accompanied by his percussive counterpart Andre Zharkov who grounds the space with satisfying rhythmic grooves and native South American flute melodies. The merging of two worlds has created an earthy soul enriching experience that flows from one series of mystical sounds to another, creating inner space for reflection, meditation and movement.

Life’s journey has taken Adam and Andre to yoga studios, where they create groove infused soundscapes of serenity to accompany the movement of the class.

Adam also continues to write and arrange songs for his solo project “Mirrors In Time”, which he performs acoustic at different venues in Calgary.
